5 Simple Steps to Fix QuickBooks Error 1402

Step one: Download And Run QuickBooks Tool Hub

Download QuickBooks Tool Hub and go to your download by pressing CTRL+J

Under your downloads list click on QuickBooksToolsHub.exe

Click Yes to permit this app to help make changes

Now click on Next to install it and then click Yes again for accepting the license agreement

Click on Next and then Install (it could take a while)

When the installation is complete click on Finish

Now open QuickBooks Tool Hub (Icon may be available on your own desktop)

Step 2: Run QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool

Open QuickBooks Tool Hub

Head to Installation Issues tab and then click in the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool

It may take some time to configure…

Once it’s configured, click on Yes to just accept the license agreement

Click go to start repairs in your QuickBooks desktop components.

Once completed, restart your computer.

Step 3: Improve Your Windows

Make a right-click regarding the Start button and choose Settings

Click on Update & Security

Press Windows+R keys together from the keyboard

Type Control in to the Run Window

Head to Programs > Program and Features

Click on Turn Windows features on or off

If, .NET Framework 3.5 and later are check make them unchecked and click OK, now restart your computer

After restarting your pc remember to check .Net Framework 3.5 and soon after again and follow on-screen instructions.

Repair Microsoft MSXML


Press Windows+R keys through the keyboard

A Run box pop out from the screen, type appwiz.cpl involved with it and click OK

Select MSXML 6.0 from the list and then click on uninstall(at the top associated with the list)

Now download the msxml.msi file through the Microsoft Website

Once it’s downloaded make a double click onto it and follow the on-screen instructions.

Install QuickBooks desktop following the complete install of MSXML file

Step 5: Restart Computer in Selective Startup

Press Windows+R keys together from the keyboard and a Run box should come up

Now type MSCONFIG into the Run box and click OK

Underneath the General tab, choose Selective startup and make certain that Load startup items choice is unchecked

Then click OK

If prompted, click on Restart

Now Uninstall and Reinstall QuickBooks Desktop

After the Uninstall and Reinstall of QuickBooks, you need to get your computer back in the normal startup mode.


Press Windows+R to start a Run window

Now type MSCONFIG into the Run box and then click OK

Select Normal Startup

Now click Apply and then OK

Now restart your computer or laptop
